Imam Ahmad : 23368حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَشْجَعِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ ثَوْرٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا سُئِلَتْ عَنْ صَوْمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ كَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ وَيَتَحَرَّى الِاثْنَيْنِ وَالْخَمِيسَ
Narrated to us [Hasyim bin Al-Qasim] said: Narrated to us [Al-Asyaja'i], from [Sufyan], from [Tsaur], from [Khalid bin Ma'And], from [Aisha], that she was once asked about the fasting of the Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him. then (Aisha RAH) said: "He (the Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him) fasted Sha`ban and was very careful about fasting Mondays and Thursdays.
