حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ يَقُولُ مَاتَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَاتَ فُلَانٌ قَالَ لَمْ يَمُتْ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ الثَّانِيَةَ ثُمَّ الثَّالِثَةَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَيْفَ مَاتَ قَالَ نَحَرَ نَفْسَهُ بِمِشْقَصٍ قَالَ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْهِ
