قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاذُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خُبَيْبٍ الْجُهَنِيُّ عَنْ أَخِيهِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خُبَيْبٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَجُلٌ فِي زَمَانِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ قَدْ سَأَلَهُ فَأَعْطَاهُ قَالَ جَلَسَ مَعَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهُ بْنُ أُنَيْسٍ صَاحِبُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَجْلِسِهِ فِي مَجْلِسِ جُهَيْنَةَ قَالَ فِي رَمَضَانَ قَالَ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ يَا أَبَا يَحْيَى سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ الْمُبَارَكَةِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ جَلَسْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي آخِرِ هَذَا الشَّهْرِ فَقُلْنَا لَهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَتَى نَلْتَمِسُ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ الْمُبَارَكَةَ قَالَ الْتَمِسُوهَا هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ وَقَالَ وَذَلِكَ مَسَاءَ لَيْلَةِ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ الْقَوْمِ وَهِيَ إِذًا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَوَّلُ ثَمَانٍ قَالَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهَا لَيْسَتْ بِأَوَّلِ ثَمَانٍ وَلَكِنَّهَا أَوَّلُ السَّبْعِ إِنَّ الشَّهْرَ لَا يَتِمُّ
