Imam Ahmad : 14517حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ زَوَّدَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جِرَابًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ فَكَانَ يَقْبِضُ لَنَا قَبْضَةً قَبْضَةً ثُمَّ تَمْرَةً تَمْرَةً فَنَمُصُّهَا وَنَشْرَبُ عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ حَتَّى اللَّيْلِ فَأَلْقَى الْبَحْرُ حُوتًا مَيِّتًا فَقَالَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ غُزَاةٌ وَجِيَاعٌ فَكُلُوا فَأَكَلْنَا فَذَكَرْنَاهُ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ رِزْقًا أَخْرَجَهُ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ فَإِنْ كَانَ مَعَكُمْ شَيْءٌ فَأَطْعِمُونَا فَكَانَ مَعَنَا مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ فَأَرْسَلَ بِهِ إِلَيْهِ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ
Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Bakr] Narrated to us [Ibnu Juraij] has narrated to me [Abu Az-Zubair] has heard [Jabir bin Abdullah] say: The Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him provided us with a bag of dates, then gave us one handful after another, then gave us one piece at a time, then we sucked them while drinking water until evening. Then the sea threw up a whale carcass. Abu 'Ubaidah said: 'We are hungry war troops, eat! '. Then we ate it. Then we conveyed this to the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him, and he said: "That is the sustenance that Allah has provided for you, if there is any left over then share it with us." Then someone brought it and he ate it.
