حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ فِتْيَانِي فَيَجْمَعُوا حَطَبًا ثُمَّ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يَؤُمُّ النَّاسَ ثُمَّ أُخَالِفُ إِلَى رِجَالٍ يَتَخَلَّفُونَ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ فَأُحَرِّقَ عَلَيْهِمْ بُيُوتَهُمْ وَايْمُ اللَّهِ لَوْ يَعْلَمُ أَحَدُهُمْ أَنَّ لَهُ بِشُهُودِهَا عَرْقًا سَمِينًا أَوْ مِرْمَاتَيْنِ لَشَهِدَهَا وَلَوْ يَعْلَمُونَ مَا فِيهَا لَأَتَوْهَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا
Abu Sa'id narrated to us that Muhammad bin 'Ajlan narrated to us from his father that Abu Hurairah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "I wish to order my young men to gather firewood, then I would order a man to lead the people and I would go out to find those who have left the congregational prayer so that I could burn their houses. By Allah, if any of them knew that they would find a large bone (with a lot of meat on it) or a sheep's bone, they would certainly join the congregation, and if they knew what Allah had promised in it, they would come to it even if they had to crawl.
