حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ أَبِي فَزَارَةَ عَنْ أَبِي زَيْدٍ مَوْلَى عَمْرِو بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ لَقِيَ الْجِنَّ فَقَالَ أَمَعَكَ مَاءٌ فَقُلْتُ لَا فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا فِي الْإِدَاوَةِ قُلْتُ نَبِيذٌ قَالَ أَرِنِيهَا تَمْرَةٌ طَيِّبَةٌ وَمَاءٌ طَهُورٌ فَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْهَا ثُمَّ صَلَّى بِنَا
Narrated to us by [Yahya bin Zakariya] from [Isra`il] from [Abu Fazarah] from [Abu Zaid] the former slave of Amru bin Huraith from [Ibn Mas'ud] he said : I was once with the Prophet peace be upon him on a pitch black night, and he asked: "Do you have water?" I answered; No. He asked: "What is in this leather bag?" I answered; Nabidz (fruit juice soaking). He said: "Show me good dates and holy water." He also performed ablution with him and then prayed with us.
