أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ قَالَ كَانَ يُقَالُ الْعُلَمَاءُ ثَلَاثَةٌ عَالِمٌ بِاللَّهِ يَخْشَى اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِعَالِمٍ بِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ وَعَالِمٌ بِاللَّهِ عَالِمٌ بِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ يَخْشَى اللَّهَ فَذَاكَ الْعَالِمُ الْكَامِلُ وَعَالِمٌ بِأَمْرِ اللَّهِ لَيْسَ بِعَالِمٍ بِاللَّهِ لَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ فَذَلِكَ الْعَالِمُ الْفَاجِرُ

Go begilwe go rena ke [Muhammad bin Yusuf] go tšwa go [Sufyan] gore o itše: ‘Go thwe go na le diithuti tše tharo, Sa pele, alim yeo e tsebago Allah, e boifa Allah, eupša ga e tsebe ditaelo tša Allah, Sa bobedi, alim yeo e tsebago Allah, ditaelo tša gagwe subhanallahu wa ta’ala, gomme e boifa Allah, yeo ke alim ye e phethagetšego, gomme ya boraro, alim yeo e tsebago ditaelo tša Allah, eupša ga a tsebe Allah ebile ga a boife Allah, seo ke fajir -sefebe-' alim.
