Beliau tidak pernah memukul kecuali saat berjihad di jalan Allah

حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ مَا ضَرَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَادِمًا قَطُّ وَلَا ضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ شَيْئًا قَطُّ إِلَّا أَنْ يُجَاهِدَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ

Narrated to us [Ja'far bin 'Aun] Narrated to us [Hisyam bin 'Urwah] from [his father] from ['Aisha] he said:"The Messenger of Allah Peace be upon him never hit his servants at all, and never hit anything with his hands at all except when fighting jihad in the way of Allah.
