Nishab emas dan perak adalah lima uqiyah: Pada setiap lima uqiyah perak terdapat zakat lima dirham, jika ada lebih maka pada setiap empat puluh dirham adalah satu dirham
Imam Darimi : 1572أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَتَبَ مَعَ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ إِلَى شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ كُلَالٍ وَالْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ كُلَالٍ وَنُعَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ كُلَالٍ إِنَّ فِي كُلِّ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ مِنْ الْوَرِقِ خَمْسَةَ دَرَاهِمَ فَمَا زَادَ فَفِي كُلِّ أَرْبَعِينَ دِرْهَمًا دِرْهَمٌ وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ شَيْءٌ
Narrated to us [Al Hakam bin Musa] Narrated to us [Yahya bin Hamzah] from [Sulaiman bin Daud Al Khaulani] Narrated to me [Az Zuhri] from [Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin 'Amru bin Hazm] from [his father] from [his grandfather], that the Prophet Peace be upon him wrote a letter entrusted to 'Amru bin Hazm to be addressed to Syurah bin Abdu Kulal, Al Harith bin Abdu Kulal, and Nu'aim bin Abdu Kulal, namely that for every five uqiyah of silver there is a zakat of five dirhams, if there is more then for every forty dirhams there is one dirham, and for those with less than five uqiyah there is no zakat obligation on them.
