Imam Darimi : 720أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي عُقَيْلٌ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ هِشَامٍ أَنَّ خَارِجَةَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ زَيْدَ بْنَ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الْوُضُوءُ مِمَّا مَسَّتْ النَّارُ قِيلَ لِأَبِي مُحَمَّدٍ تَأْخُذُ بِهِ قَالَ لَا
Narrated to us [Abdullah bin Salih] Narrated to me [Al Laits] he said: It has been told to me ['Uqail] from [Ibn Shihab] he said: Narrated to me [Abdul Malik bin Abu Bakr bin Al Harith bin Hisham], [Kharijah bin Zaid Al Ansari] has told him that his father, namely [Zaid bin Thabit] said: "I have heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) 'alaihi wasallam said: 'Make ablution from everything that is exposed to fire (which is burned)' ". Asked Abu Muhammad: "Did you take it (as proof)? ', he answered: 'No'".
