Imam Nasa'i : 2095أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ أَبُو الْجَوْزَاءِ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ بَصْرِيٌّ أَخُو أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا حِبَّانُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صُومُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ وَأَفْطِرُوا لِرُؤْيَتِهِ فَإِنْ غُمَّ عَلَيْكُمْ فَأَكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ ثَلَاثِينَ
Narrated to us [Ahmad bin 'Uthman Abul Jauza] -and he is a tsiqah, comes from Basrah, brother of Abul 'Aliyah- he said :Narrated to us [Hibban bin Hilal] he said :Narrated to us [Hammad bin Sa'd] from ['Amr bin Dinar] from [Ibn 'Abbas] he said : The Prophet peace be upon him said: "Fast you because you see it and break your fast because you see it too. If it is hidden from your sight, then complete the number of months - to thirty days."
