Imam Bukhari : 192حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَكَانَ عَمِّي يُكْثِرُ مِنْ الْوُضُوءِ قَالَ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَخْبِرْنِيا كَيْفَ رَأَيْتَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَدَعَا بِتَوْرٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ فَكَفَأَ عَلَى يَدَيْهِ فَغَسَلَهُمَا ثَلَاثَ مِرَارٍ ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِي التَّوْرِ فَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْثَرَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ مِنْ غَرْفَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ ثُمَّ أَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فَاغْتَرَفَ بِهَا فَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ إِلَى الْمِرْفَقَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ أَخَذَ بِيَدِهِ مَاءً فَمَسَحَ رَأْسَهُ فَأَدْبَرَ بِهِ وَأَقْبَلَ ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ فَقَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَوَضَّأُ
It was narrated to us by [Khalid bin Mukhallad] who Sa'd It was narrated to us by [Sulaiman bin Bilal] who Sa'd It was narrated to me by ['Amru bin Yahya] from [his father] who Sa'd 'My uncle used to perform wudu excessively. He Sa'dto ['Abdullah bin Zaid], "Inform us how you saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, perform wudu." He called for a vessel of water, poured it over his hands, and washed them three times, then put his hand in the vessel, rinsed his mouth, and expelled water from his nose three times with one handful, then put his hand in the vessel, took water, and washed his face three times, then washed his hands twice up to the elbows, then took water with his hand and wiped his head, moving backward and forward, then washed his feet. He Sa'd "This is how I saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, perform wudu."'
