حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْقُرَشِيِّ عَنْ دَاودَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍأَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ التَّيَمُّمِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَالَ فِي كِتَابِهِ حِينَ ذَكَرَ الْوُضُوءَ{ فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ }وَقَالَ فِي التَّيَمُّمِ{ فَامْسَحُوا بِوُجُوهِكُمْ وَأَيْدِيكُمْ }وَقَالَ{ وَالسَّارِقُ وَالسَّارِقَةُ فَاقْطَعُوا أَيْدِيَهُمَا }فَكَانَتْ السُّنَّةُ فِي الْقَطْعِ الْكَفَّيْنِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ الْوَجْهُ وَالْكَفَّانِ يَعْنِي التَّيَمُّمَقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَذِيٌّ صَحِيحٌ
Narrated to us [Yahya bin Musa], he said: narrated to us [Sa'id bin Sulaiman], he said: narrated to us [Husyaim] from [Muhammad bin Khalid Al Qurasyi] from [Daud bin Hushain] from [Ikrimah] from [Ibnu Abbas] that he was asked about tayammum, so he answered: "Allah said in His Book about wudu: '(wash your faces and hands to elbows),' and about tayammum: '(wipe your faces and hands).' Then: '(the male thief and female thief, cut off their hands).' By Sunnah the hand is cut at the palms: so tayammum is face and palms." Abu Isa said: "This hadith is sahih gharib."
