Imam Abu Dawud : 1887

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْعَتَكِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ عَنْ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُكَانَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِأَنَّهُ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ الْبَتَّةَ فَأَتَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ مَا أَرَدْتَ قَالَ وَاحِدَةً قَالَ آللَّهِ قَالَ آللَّهِ قَالَ هُوَ عَلَى مَا أَرَدْتَقَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد وَهَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ أَنَّ رُكَانَةَ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ ثَلَاثًا لِأَنَّهُمْ أَهْلُ بَيْتِهِ وَهُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ وَحَدِيثُ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ رَوَاهُ عَنْ بَعْضِ بَنِي أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

Narrated to us [Sulaiman bin Daud Al 'Ataki], narrated to us [Jarir bin Hazim] from [Az Zubair bin Sa'id] from [Abdullah bin Ali bin Yazid bin Rukanah] from [his father], from [his grandfather] that he divorced his wife irrevocably, then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came and said: 'What did you intend?' He said: 'One divorce.' He asked: 'By Allah?' He said: 'By Allah.' He said: 'It is according to what you intended.' Abu Daud said: This hadith is more authentic than the hadith of Ibnu Juraij that Rukanah divorced his wife three times because they are the people of his household, and they know better about it. Whereas the hadith of Ibnu Juraij was narrated from some of Bani Abu Rafi' from Ikrimah, from Ibnu Abbas.
