Edustava hadith
Nabi menegaskan bahwa pendapat pribadinya dalam urusan dunia boleh keliru, sedangkan apa yang beliau sampaikan dari Allah wajib diambil
Imam Muslim : 4356حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ وَأَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ وَتَقَارَبَا فِي اللَّفْظِ وَهَذَا حَدِيثُ قُتَيْبَةَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ مَرَرْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَوْمٍ عَلَى رُءُوسِ النَّخْلِ فَقَالَ مَا يَصْنَعُ هَؤُلَاءِ فَقَالُوا يُلَقِّحُونَهُ يَجْعَلُونَ الذَّكَرَ فِي الْأُنْثَى فَيَلْقَحُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَظُنُّ يُغْنِي ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا قَالَ فَأُخْبِرُوا بِذَلِكَ فَتَرَكُوهُ فَأُخْبِرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِذَلِكَ فَقَالَ إِنْ كَانَ يَنْفَعُهُمْ ذَلِكَ فَلْيَصْنَعُوهُ فَإِنِّي إِنَّمَا ظَنَنْتُ ظَنًّا فَلَا تُؤَاخِذُونِي بِالظَّنِّ وَلَكِنْ إِذَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ عَنْ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا فَخُذُوا بِهِ فَإِنِّي لَنْ أَكْذِبَ عَلَى اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ
Narrated to us [Qutaibah bin Sa'id Ats Tsaqafi] and [Abu Kamil Al Jahdari], their wording similar, and this is Qutaibah’s hadith, he said: Narrated to us [Abu 'Awanah] from [Simak] from [Musa bin Thalhah] from [his father], he said: ‘I was with the Prophet walking past people at the tops of date palms. Soon he asked: “What are those people doing?” The companions replied: “They are pollinating date palms, placing pollen on the stigma to hasten fruiting.” The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: “I think their action is useless.” Thalhah said: “They were informed of the Prophet’s words and stopped pollinating.” Days later, the Prophet was told the unpollinated palms bore no fruit. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: “If pollinating benefits them, let them continue. I only gave my personal opinion. Do not blame me for my opinion. But if I tell you something from Allah, accept it, for I never lie about Allah.”’
