Imam Tirmidzi : 2991حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَقُولُلَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ{ قُلْ هُوَ الْقَادِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يَبْعَثَ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابًا مِنْ فَوْقِكُمْ أَوْ مِنْ تَحْتِ أَرْجُلِكُمْ }قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَعُوذُ بِوَجْهِكَ فَلَمَّا نَزَلَتْ{ أَوْ يَلْبِسَكُمْ شِيَعًا وَيُذِيقَ بَعْضَكُمْ بَأْسَ بَعْضٍ }قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَاتَانِ أَهْوَنُ أَوْ هَاتَانِ أَيْسَرُقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ
Narrated to us [Ibn Abu Umar] has told us [Sufyan] from ['Amru bin Dinar] he heard [Jabir bin Abdullah] he said: "When this verse comes down, say: 'He is the one who has the power to send punishment on you from above you or from under your feet. QS Al Ma`idah: 65, Rasulullah sallAllahu 'alahi wasallam prayed: "O Allah, I seek refuge in Your face," but when it comes down Or he will mix you in groups (which conflict with each other) and feel for some of you the ferocity of others. QS Al An'aam: 65, he said: "These two verses are lighter or these two verses are easier."
