Tujuh puluh sahabat Al-Qurra' dibunuh dalam pengkhianatan, dan mereka memohon agar disampaikan kepada Nabi bahwa mereka telah bertemu Rabb
Imam Muslim : 3522حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ جَاءَ نَاسٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا أَنْ ابْعَثْ مَعَنَا رِجَالًا يُعَلِّمُونَا الْقُرْآنَ وَالسُّنَّةَ فَبَعَثَ إِلَيْهِمْ سَبْعِينَ رَجُلًا مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ يُقَالُ لَهُمْ الْقُرَّاءُ فِيهِمْ خَالِي حَرَامٌ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ وَيَتَدَارَسُونَ بِاللَّيْلِ يَتَعَلَّمُونَ وَكَانُوا بِالنَّهَارِ يَجِيئُونَ بِالْمَاءِ فَيَضَعُونَهُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَيَحْتَطِبُونَ فَيَبِيعُونَهُ وَيَشْتَرُونَ بِهِ الطَّعَامَ لِأَهْلِ الصُّفَّةِ وَلِلْفُقَرَاءِ فَبَعَثَهُمْ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَعَرَضُوا لَهُمْ فَقَتَلُوهُمْ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَبْلُغُوا الْمَكَانَ فَقَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ بَلِّغْ عَنَّا نَبِيَّنَا أَنَّا قَدْ لَقِينَاكَ فَرَضِينَا عَنْكَ وَرَضِيتَ عَنَّا قَالَ وَأَتَى رَجُلٌ حَرَامًا خَالَ أَنَسٍ مِنْ خَلْفِهِ فَطَعَنَهُ بِرُمْحٍ حَتَّى أَنْفَذَهُ فَقَالَ حَرَامٌ فُزْتُ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ إِنَّ إِخْوَانَكُمْ قَدْ قُتِلُوا وَإِنَّهُمْ قَالُوا اللَّهُمَّ بَلِّغْ عَنَّا نَبِيَّنَا أَنَّا قَدْ لَقِينَاكَ فَرَضِينَا عَنْكَ وَرَضِيتَ عَنَّا
Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Hatim] narrated to us ['Affan] narrated to us [Hammad] informed us [Tsabit] from [Anas bin Malik] he said, "A group of people came to the Prophet, peace be upon him, then they said, 'Send with us some people to teach the Qur'an and the Sunnah to us.' Then he sent seventy men from the Ansar group, they were called Al Qurra (experts in reading the Qur'an). They were people who avoided forbidden matters, always reading and studying the Qur'an at night, while during the day they carried water to the mosque so it could be used for purification. Besides that they also looked for firewood, after selling it, they used the money to buy food for the people of suffah and the poor. The Prophet, peace be upon him, then sent them to accompany the group. In the middle of the journey they were attacked by the group, and finally they were killed before reaching the destination. But they had time to pray: 'O Allah, convey our news to our Prophet, that we have met You. We are pleased with You and You are pleased with us.' Anas continued, 'At that time there was someone who followed Haram -uncle of Anas- from behind, apparently Haram could stab him with a spear until he succeeded in killing him. After that Haram said, 'I have won by the Lord of the Ka'bah.' Then the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said to his companions: 'Indeed your brothers have been killed, and (before being killed) they had time to say, 'O Allah, convey our news to our Prophet, that we have met You. We are pleased with You and You are pleased with us'.'
