Ibnu Abbas mengingkari istilam pada seluruh rukun, sedangkan Mu'awiyah berpendapat tidak ada bagian Baitullah yang ditinggalkan
Imam Tirmidzi : 786حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَمَعْمَرٌ عَنْ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَكُنْتُ مَعَ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَمُعَاوِيَةُ لَا يَمُرُّ بِرُكْنٍ إِلَّا اسْتَلَمَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَمْ يَكُنْ يَسْتَلِمُ إِلَّا الْحَجَرَ الْأَسْوَدَ وَالرُّكْنَ الْيَمَانِيَفَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ لَيْسَ شَيْءٌ مِنْ الْبَيْتِ مَهْجُورًا قَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَنْ لَا يَسْتَلِمَ إِلَّا الْحَجَرَ الْأَسْوَدَ وَالرُّكْنَ الْيَمَانِيَ
Narrated to us [Mahmud bin Ghailan] narrated to us [Abdurrazzaq] informed us [Sufyan] and [Ma'mar] from [Ibnu Khuthaim] from [Abu Thufail] who said: 'When I and Ibnu Abbas were with Mu'awiyah, Mu'awiyah did not pass any corner except touching it. So [Ibnu Abbas] rebuked him: 'The Prophet peace and blessings be upon him only touched the Black Stone and the Yamani Corner.' Mu'awiyah replied: 'No part of the Ka'bah is overlooked.'' (Abu Isa At-Tirmidzi) said: 'A similar hadith is narrated from Umar.' Abu 'Isa said: 'The hadith of Ibnu Abbas is hasan sahih and practiced by most scholars, that is, not kissing except the Black Stone and the Yamani Corner.'
