Rasulullah segera melaksanakan shalat gerhana dan memerintahkan memperbanyak doa serta istighfar ketika terjadi gerhana
Imam Nasa'i : 1486أَخْبَرَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَسْرُوقِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ عَنْ بُرَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى قَالَخَسَفَتْ الشَّمْسُ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَزِعًا يَخْشَى أَنْ تَكُونَ السَّاعَةُ فَقَامَ حَتَّى أَتَى الْمَسْجِدَ فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي بِأَطْوَلِ قِيَامٍ وَرُكُوعٍ وَسُجُودٍ مَا رَأَيْتُهُ يَفْعَلُهُ فِي صَلَاتِهِ قَطُّ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّ هَذِهِ الْآيَاتِ الَّتِي يُرْسِلُ اللَّهُ لَا تَكُونُ لِمَوْتِ أَحَدٍ وَلَا لِحَيَاتِهِ وَلَكِنَّ اللَّهَ يُرْسِلُهَا يُخَوِّفُ بِهَا عِبَادَهُ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ مِنْهَا شَيْئًا فَافْزَعُوا إِلَى ذِكْرِهِ وَدُعَائِهِ وَاسْتِغْفَارِهِ
Narrated to us [Musa bin 'Abdurrahman Al Masruqi] from [Abu Usamah] from [Buraid] from [Abu Burdah] from [Abu Musa] he said : "When there was a solar eclipse, the Prophet peace be upon him stood up with fear, he was worried that the end of the world would happen. He went to the mosque, then stood up, bowed down, and prostrated for a long time. I have never seen him do that in his prayers. Then he said: "These are signs of Allah's greatness that He sent not because of someone's death or birth, but Allah sent them to frighten His servants. If you see him, then immediately make dhikr and pray and ask Him for forgiveness."
