Rasulullah melaksanakan shalat Istisqa dan mengangkat kedua tangan untuk memohon hujan, kemudian berdoa: Ya Allah, turunkanlah hujan ini di sekitar kami dan jangan sampai menghancurkan kami
Imam Nasa'i : 1501أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍأَنَّ رَجُلًا دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَائِمٌ يَخْطُبُ فَاسْتَقْبَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَائِمًا وَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلَكَتْ الْأَمْوَالُ وَانْقَطَعَتْ السُّبُلُ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُغِيثَنَا فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ أَغِثْنَا اللَّهُمَّ أَغِثْنَا قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَلَا وَاللَّهِ مَا نَرَى فِي السَّمَاءِ مِنْ سَحَابَةٍ وَلَا قَزَعَةٍ وَمَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ سَلْعٍ مِنْ بَيْتٍ وَلَا دَارٍ فَطَلَعَتْ سَحَابَةٌ مِثْلُ التُّرْسِ فَلَمَّا تَوَسَّطَتْ السَّمَاءَ انْتَشَرَتْ وَأَمْطَرَتْ قَالَ أَنَسٌ وَلَا وَاللَّهِ مَا رَأَيْنَا الشَّمْسَ سَبْتًا قَالَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ ذَلِكَ الْبَابِ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ الْمُقْبِلَةِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَائِمٌ يَخْطُبُ فَاسْتَقْبَلَهُ قَائِمًا فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْكَ هَلَكَتْ الْأَمْوَالُ وَانْقَطَعَتْ السُّبُلُ فَادْعُ اللَّهَ أَنْ يُمْسِكَهَا عَنَّا فَرَفَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَيْهِ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ حَوَالَيْنَا وَلَا عَلَيْنَا اللَّهُمَّ عَلَى الْآكَامِ وَالظِّرَابِ وَبُطُونِ الْأَوْدِيَةِ وَمَنَابِتِ الشَّجَرِ قَالَ فَأَقْلَعَتْ وَخَرَجْنَا نَمْشِي فِي الشَّمْسِقَالَ شَرِيكٌ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسًا أَهُوَ الرَّجُلُ الْأَوَّلُ قَالَ لَا
Narrated to us ['Ali bin Hujr] he said :Narrated to us [Isma'il bin Ja'far] he said :Narrated to us [Sharik bin 'Abdullah] from [Anas bin Malik]; "There was a man who came to Rasulullah Shalallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam, while he was khutbah while standing, then he turned to him while standing and said: 'O Rasulullah, property has been destroyed and roads have been cut off, so pray to Allah the Mighty and Majestic that He will help us'. Then Rasulullah Shalallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam raised both hands and prayed: 'O Allah, help us. O Allah, help us'." Anas said : "No, by Allah, we did not see any clouds in the sky, nor were there any clouds, even though there was no house between us and Mount Sala' (a mountain in Medina), then a cloud appeared like a shield, and after the cloud was in the middle of the sky it spread, so it fell as rain. By Allah, we did not see the sun for a week." Anas continued, "Then on the following Friday a man came to Rasulullah Shalallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam from the door when he Shalallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam was preaching while standing, then the man said: 'O Rasulullah Shalallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam, property has been destroyed and the roads have been cut off, so pray to Allah that He will withhold the rain from us'. Then Rasulullah Shalallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam raised his hands while praying, 'O Allah (send rain) around us and not on us. O Allah, send it down on the hills, mountains, valleys and where the trees grow'. Sharik said : "I asked Anas; 'Is he the first man?' He answered, 'No'."
