Imam Muslim : 307و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ { وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ } وَرَهْطَكَ مِنْهُمْ الْمُخْلَصِينَ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى صَعِدَ الصَّفَا فَهَتَفَ يَا صَبَاحَاهْ فَقَالُوا مَنْ هَذَا الَّذِي يَهْتِفُ قَالُوا مُحَمَّدٌ فَاجْتَمَعُوا إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ يَا بَنِي فُلَانٍ يَا بَنِي فُلَانٍ يَا بَنِي فُلَانٍ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ فَاجْتَمَعُوا إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ أَرَأَيْتَكُمْ لَوْ أَخْبَرْتُكُمْ أَنَّ خَيْلًا تَخْرُجُ بِسَفْحِ هَذَا الْجَبَلِ أَكُنْتُمْ مُصَدِّقِيَّ قَالُوا مَا جَرَّبْنَا عَلَيْكَ كَذِبًا قَالَ فَإِنِّي نَذِيرٌ لَكُمْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ عَذَابٍ شَدِيدٍ قَالَ فَقَالَ أَبُو لَهَبٍ تَبًّا لَكَ أَمَا جَمَعْتَنَا إِلَّا لِهَذَا ثُمَّ قَامَ فَنَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ السُّورَةُ تَبَّتْ يَدَا أَبِي لَهَبٍ وَقَدْ تَبَّ كَذَا قَرَأَ الْأَعْمَشُ إِلَى آخِرِ السُّورَةِ و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ قَالَ صَعِدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ الصَّفَا فَقَالَ يَا صَبَاحَاهْ بِنَحْوِ حَدِيثِ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ نُزُولَ الْآيَةِ { وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ }
"Narrated to us [Abu Kuraib Muhammad bin al-'Ala], "Narrated to us [Abu Usamah] from [al-A'mash] from [Amru bin Murrah] from [Sa'id bin Jubair] from [Ibn Abbas], he said, 'When the verse: "(Warn your closest relatives, those who are truly sincere)" (Quran, Ash-Shu'ara: 214) was revealed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out, climbed the hill of Safa, and shouted as if calling: "O my companions." Some asked who was shouting, others replied, "Muhammad." They gathered toward him, and he said: "O Bani Fulan! Bani Fulan! Bani Fulan! O Bani Abdul Manaf! O Bani Abdul Muttalib!" They approached him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) then said: "What would you think if I told you a cavalry was coming from the foot of this hill to attack you? Would you believe me?" They replied, "We have never found you to lie." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I bring you warning of a severe punishment." Ibn Abbas said, "Abu Lahab cursed, 'Woe to you! Did you gather us only to hear this (warning of punishment)?' Then Abu Lahab left. So the chapter was revealed: "(Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he)" as al-A'mash recited until the end of the chapter." "And Narrated to us [Abu Bakar bin Abu Syaibah] and [Abu Kuraib], he said, "Narrated to us [Abu Muawiyah] from [al-A'mash] with this chain, he said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) climbed Safa one day and said, 'O my companions,' as in the hadith of Abu Usamah, and he did not mention the revelation of the verse, '(Warn your closest relatives).'"'
