Imam Abu Dawud : 4405حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَأَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مُرْنِي بِكَلِمَاتٍ أَقُولُهُنَّ إِذَا أَصْبَحْتُ وَإِذَا أَمْسَيْتُ قَالَ قُلْ اللَّهُمَّ فَاطِرَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ عَالِمَ الْغَيْبِ وَالشَّهَادَةِ رَبَّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ وَمَلِيكَهُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ نَفْسِي وَشَرِّ الشَّيْطَانِ وَشِرْكِهِ قَالَ قُلْهَا إِذَا أَصْبَحْتَ وَإِذَا أَمْسَيْتَ وَإِذَا أَخَذْتَ مَضْجَعَكَ
Narrated to us [Musaddad], he said: narrated to us [Husyaim] from [Ya'la bin Atha] from [Amru bin Ashim] from [Abu Hurairah], that Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq, may Allah be pleased with him, said: 'O Messenger of Allah, teach me something to recite in the morning and evening.' He said: 'Recite: ALLAHUMMA FAATIRAS SAMAWAATI WAL ARDLI AALIMAL GHAIBI WASY SYAHAHDAH RABBA KULLI SYAI`IN WA MALIIKAHU ASYHADU AN LAA ILAAHA ILLA ANTA A'UUDZU BIKA MIN SYARRI NAFSII WA SYARRISY SYAITHAANI WA SYIRKI (O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the unseen and the seen, Lord and Sovereign of everything. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek refuge in You from the evil of my soul, the evil of Satan, and his polytheism).' He said: 'Recite it in the morning, evening, or when you go to sleep.'
