Jabir, membaiat beliau untuk tidak lari (dari medan perang), bukan baiat untuk mati
Imam Tirmidzi : 1517حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الْأُمَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِفِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى{ لَقَدْ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ يُبَايِعُونَكَ تَحْتَ الشَّجَرَةِ }قَالَ جَابِرٌ بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَنْ لَا نَفِرَّ وَلَمْ نُبَايِعْهُ عَلَى الْمَوْتِقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ وَعُبَادَةَ وَجَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ يُونُسَ عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ قَالَ قَالَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَلَمْ يُذْكَرْ فِيهِ أَبُو سَلَمَةَ
Narrated to us [Sa'id bin Yahya bin Sa'id Al Umawi] said, narrated to us [Isa bin Yunus] from [Al Auza'i] from [Yahya bin Abu Katsir] from [Abu Salamah] from [Jabir bin Abdullah] regarding Allah’s verse: (Indeed, Allah was pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you under the tree)" -Qs. Al Fath: 18-. Jabir said: 'We pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, not to flee (from battle), not to die.' He said: 'In this matter, there are also hadiths from Salamah Ibnul Akwa', Ibnu Umar, Ubadah, and Jarir bin Abdullah.' Abu Isa said: 'This hadith is narrated from Isa bin Yunus from Al Auza'i, from Yahya bin Abu Katsir, who said: Jabir bin Abdullah said. The hadith does not mention Abu Salamah.'"
