Narrated by 'Ayyash, narrated by 'Abdul A?la, narrated by Al-Jurairi, from Abu Al-?Ala?, from Al-Ahnaf bin Qais, he said: I was sitting. And narrated by Ishaq bin Mansur, narrated by 'Abdus Samad, narrated by his father, narrated by Al-Jurairi, narrated by Abu Al-?Ala? bin Ash-Shikhkhir, that Al-Ahnaf bin Qais narrated to them, saying: I was sitting with a group of Quraysh leaders when a man with disheveled hair, clothes, and appearance came, stood among them, greeted them, and said: 'Give glad tidings to those who hoard their wealth of a heated stone in the fire of Jahannam, placed on the nipple of one of them until it comes out from the top of his shoulder, and placed on the top of his shoulder until it comes out from his nipple, trembling.' Then he left and sat by a pillar. I followed him and sat beside him, not knowing who he was. I Sa'dto him: 'I don?t think the people liked what you said.' He said: 'They understand nothing. My friend Sa'dto me.' I said: 'Who is your friend?' He said: 'The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) Sa'dto me: "O Abu Dharr, do you see Uhud?"' I looked at the sun, seeing it was still daytime, thinking the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sending me on an errand. I said: 'Yes.' He said: 'I would not like to have gold as much as Uhud and spend it all except for three dinars.' These people understand nothing; they only collect worldly wealth. By Allah, I will not ask them for worldly things, nor will I consult them about religion until I meet Allah.'
