Nabi memulai sa’i dari bukit Shafa dan mengakhiri di Marwah
Imam Tirmidzi : 790حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَابِرٍأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ قَدِمَ مَكَّةَ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ سَبْعًا وَأَتَى الْمَقَامَ فَقَرَأَ{ وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى }فَصَلَّى خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ ثُمَّ أَتَى الْحَجَرَ فَاسْتَلَمَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ نَبْدَأُ بِمَا بَدَأَ اللَّهُ بِهِ فَبَدَأَ بِالصَّفَا وَقَرَأَ{ إِنَّ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةَ مِنْ شَعَائِرِ اللَّهِ }قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَى هَذَا عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَنَّهُ يَبْدَأُ بِالصَّفَا قَبْلَ الْمَرْوَةِ فَإِنْ بَدَأَ بِالْمَرْوَةِ قَبْلَ الصَّفَا لَمْ يُجْزِهِ وَبَدَأَ بِالصَّفَا وَاخْتَلَفَ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ فِيمَنْ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ وَلَمْ يَطُفْ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ فَقَالَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ إِنْ لَمْ يَطُفْ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ حَتَّى خَرَجَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ فَإِنْ ذَكَرَ وَهُوَ قَرِيبٌ مِنْهَا رَجَعَ فَطَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَإِنْ لَمْ يَذْكُرْ حَتَّى أَتَى بِلَادَهُ أَجْزَأَهُ وَعَلَيْهِ دَمٌ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ و قَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِنْ تَرَكَ الطَّوَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ حَتَّى رَجَعَ إِلَى بِلَادِهِ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يُجْزِيهِ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ الشَّافِعِيِّ قَالَ الطَّوَافُ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ وَاجِبٌ لَا يَجُوزُ الْحَجُّ إِلَّا بِهِ
Narrated to us [Ibnu Abu 'Umar] narrated to us [Sufyan bin 'Uyainah] from [Ja'far bin Muhammad] from [his father] from [Jabir] that the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him, when entering Makkah, performed tawaf seven rounds. Then went to the Maqam and recited: 'And take you the Maqam Ibrahim as a place of prayer' and prayed behind the Maqam. Then touched the Black Stone saying: 'We start with what Allah started, he started it from Safa by reciting: 'Indeed, Safa and Marwah are among the symbols of Allah.'' Abu 'Isa said: 'This is a hasan sahih hadith and practiced by the scholars that one who performs sa'i starts from Safa before Marwah. If he starts from Marwah, his sa'i is invalid. The scholars differ on one who performs tawaf at the Ka'bah but not tawaf at Safa and Marwah. Some scholars opine: 'If he does not sa'i and has left Makkah, if he remembers and is still near Makkah, he must return for sa'i. But if he does not remember until in his country, he must pay a penalty. This is the opinion of Sufyan Ats Tsauri. Some scholars opine: if he does not sa'i until returning to his country, he is not free from obligation. This is the opinion of Syafi'i, he added: 'Sa'i between Safa and Marwah is obligatory, hajj is not valid without it.''
