Narrated to us[Hafs bin Umar], from [Shu'bah] from ['Ali bin Mudrik] from [Abu Zur'ah bin Amru bin Jarir] from [Kharashah Ibn Al-Hur] from [Abu Dharr] from the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: "There are three types whom Allah will not look at and will not purify on the Day of Resurrection, and they will have a painful punishment." I asked: "Who are they, O Messenger of Allah? They are doomed and lost!" He repeated it three times I asked again: "Who are they, O Messenger of Allah? They are doomed and lost!" He replied: "Those who trail their garments, those who remind of their charity, and those who make their sales prosper with false oaths." Narrated to us[Musaddad], from [Yahya] from [Sufyan] from [Al-A'mash] from [Sulayman bin Mihran] from [Kharashah Ibn Al-Hur] from [Abu Dharr] from the Prophet (peace be upon him), as in this hadith. But the first narration is more complete. Abu Dharr said: "Al-mannān (the reminder of charity) is one who gives something but expects it to be returned."
