Barangsiapa bersumpah atas suatu hal lalu melihat yang lebih baik darinya, hendaklah ia membayar kafarat dan melakukan yang lebih baik

Narrated to us [Qutaibah] from [Malik bin Anas] from [Suhail bin Abu Shalih] from [his father] from [Abu Hurairah] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: 'Whoever swears to do something and then sees something better, let him do the better and pay the expiation for his oath.' He said: 'In this matter, there is a similar hadith from Ummu Salamah.' Abu Isa said: 'The hadith of Abu Hurairah is hasan sahih and is a guiding practice according to most scholars from the companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and others, namely that the expiation paid before breaking the oath is valid. This is the opinion of Malik bin Anas, As Syafi'i, Ahmad, and Ishaq. Some other scholars hold that expiation must not be paid before breaking the oath. Sufyan Ats Tsauri said: If someone gives expiation after breaking the oath, I prefer that if he gives it before breaking the oath, it is sufficient."'"
