Ciri-ciri kaum khawarij: usia muda, pemikiran dangkal, dan iman yang tidak melewati tenggorokan
Imam Abu Dawud : 4138حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ عَنْ سُوَيْدِ بْنِ غَفَلَةَ قَالَ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامإِذَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثًا فَلَأَنْ أَخِرَّ مِنْ السَّمَاءِ أَحَبُّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ أَنْ أَكْذِبَ عَلَيْهِ وَإِذَا حَدَّثْتُكُمْ فِيمَا بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَكُمْ فَإِنَّمَا الْحَرْبُ خَدْعَةٌ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ يَأْتِي فِي آخِرِ الزَّمَانِ قَوْمٌ حُدَثَاءُ الْأَسْنَانِ سُفَهَاءُ الْأَحْلَامِ يَقُولُونَ مِنْ قَوْلِ خَيْرِ الْبَرِيَّةِ يَمْرُقُونَ مِنْ الْإِسْلَامِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنْ الرَّمِيَّةِ لَا يُجَاوِزُ إِيمَانُهُمْ حَنَاجِرَهُمْ فَأَيْنَمَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْ فَإِنَّ قَتْلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ لِمَنْ قَتَلَهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Katsir] he said, Informed us [Sufyan] he said, Narrated to us [Al A'masy] from [Khaitsamah] from [Suwaid bin Ghafalah] he said [Ali radiallahu 'anhu] said, "If I narrate to you a Hadith of The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) , then if I fall from the sky I prefer that over lying. And if I speak about a matter that occurs between me and you, then indeed war is full of deception. I heard The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "At the end of time there will emerge a people who are young in age, but their aspirations are mad. They speak based on the words of the best human (Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him). But they leave Islam as an arrow leaves its bow. Their faith does not pass the throat, so wherever you find them kill them. For killing them will be rewarded on the Day of Resurrection."
