Narrated to us [Qutaibah bin Sa'id], informed us [Hammad bin Zaid] from [Mujalid] from [Asy Sya'bi] from [An Nu'man bin Basyir], he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: The halal is clear, the haram is clear, and between them are doubtful matters which most people do not know whether they are halal or haram. Whoever avoids them has protected his religion and honor he is safe. But whoever falls into doubtful matters risks falling into the haram, like a shepherd grazing near a protected area who risks entering it. Know that every king has a protected area know that Allah's protected area is what He has forbidden." Narrated to us [Hannad], narrated to us [Waki'] from [Zakariya bin Abu Za'idah] from [Asy Sya'bi] from [An Nu'man bin Basyir] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with similar meaning. Abu Isa said: This hadith is hasan sahih and has been narrated by many narrators from Asy Sya'bi from An Nu'man bin Basyir."
