Perintah memerangi manusia hingga mereka berzakat

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُقَالَ لَمَّا تُوُفِّيَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَكَفَرَ مَنْ كَفَرَ مِنْ الْعَرَبِ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كَيْفَ تُقَاتِلُ النَّاسَ وَقَدْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ فَمَنْ قَالَهَا فَقَدْ عَصَمَ مِنِّي مَالَهُ وَنَفْسَهُ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهِ وَحِسَابُهُ عَلَى اللَّهِ فَقَالَ وَاللَّهِ لَأُقَاتِلَنَّ مَنْ فَرَّقَ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ فَإِنَّ الزَّكَاةَ حَقُّ الْمَالِ وَاللَّهِ لَوْ مَنَعُونِي عَنَاقًا كَانُوا يُؤَدُّونَهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقَاتَلْتُهُمْ عَلَى مَنْعِهَاقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَوَاللَّهِ مَا هُوَ إِلَّا أَنْ قَدْ شَرَحَ اللَّهُ صَدْرَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ

Narrated by Abu Al-Yaman Al-Hakam bin Nafi,, narrated by Shu?aib bin Abu Hamzah, from Az-Zuhri, narrated by 'Ubaidullah bin 'Abdullah bin 'Utbah bin Mas?ud, that Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) became caliph, some Arabs apostatized (by refusing to pay zakat). 'Umar bin Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'How can you fight people when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have been ordered to fight people until they say there is no god but Allah. Whoever says it has protected his life and property from me, except by its right, and his reckoning is with Allah"?' Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'By Allah, I will fight whoever separates prayer from zakat, for zakat is the right of wealth. By Allah, if they withhold even a young goat that they used to give to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I will fight them for withholding it.' 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'By Allah, it was nothing but Allah opening the heart of Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and I realized that he was right.'
