Imam Malik : 710قَالَ يَحْيَى عَنْ مَالِك عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ أَخْبَرَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَأَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَلَمْ تَرَيْ أَنَّ قَوْمَكِ حِينَ بَنَوْا الْكَعْبَةَ اقْتَصَرُوا عَنْ قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَفَلَا تَرُدُّهَا عَلَى قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْلَا حِدْثَانُ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ لَفَعَلْتُقَالَ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ لَئِنْ كَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ سَمِعَتْ هَذَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أُرَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَرَكَ اسْتِلَامَ الرُّكْنَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ يَلِيَانِ الْحِجْرَ إِلَّا أَنَّ الْبَيْتَ لَمْ يُتَمَّمْ عَلَى قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
It has been related to me from Yahya from Malik from [Ibn Shihab] from [Salim bin Abdullah] that [Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abu Bakr As Shidiq] reported to [Abdullah bin 'Umar] from [Aisyah] that the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "When your people built the Kaaba, didn't you see that they disdained the rule of Abraham?" Aisha said; "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, wouldn't it be better for you to return according to Abraham's rules?" Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam replied: "If it were not for your people who had just escaped disbelief (converted to Islam), I would have done it." Abdullah bin Muhammad said; "Abdullah bin Umar said: 'If indeed 'Aisyah had heard this hadith from Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, I really never saw Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam leave touching the two pillars after Hijr Isma'il, except because the Kaaba was not built according to Abraham's rules.
