Imam Abu Dawud : 4389حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَنْصُورًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الْبَرَاءُ بْنُ عَازِبٍ قَالَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَتَيْتَ مَضْجَعَكَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَكَ لِلصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ اضْطَجِعْ عَلَى شِقِّكَ الْأَيْمَنِ وَقُلْ اللَّهُمَّ أَسْلَمْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ وَفَوَّضْتُ أَمْرِي إِلَيْكَ وَأَلْجَأْتُ ظَهْرِي إِلَيْكَ رَهْبَةً وَرَغْبَةً إِلَيْكَ لَا مَلْجَأَ وَلَا مَنْجَى مِنْكَ إِلَّا إِلَيْكَ آمَنْتُ بِكِتَابِكَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلْتَ وَنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ قَالَ فَإِنْ مِتَّ مِتَّ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ وَاجْعَلْهُنَّ آخِرَ مَا تَقُولُ قَالَ الْبَرَاءُ فَقُلْتُ أَسْتَذْكِرُهُنَّ فَقُلْتُ وَبِرَسُولِكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَ قَالَ لَا وَنَبِيِّكَ الَّذِي أَرْسَلْتَحَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ فِطْرِ بْنِ خَلِيفَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَوَيْتَ إِلَى فِرَاشِكَ وَأَنْتَ طَاهِرٌ فَتَوَسَّدْ يَمِينَكَ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ الْغَزَّالُ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ وَمَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِهَذَا قَالَ سُفْيَانُ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا إِذَا أَتَيْتَ فِرَاشَكَ طَاهِرًا وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ تَوَضَّأْ وُضُوءَكَ لِلصَّلَاةِ وَسَاقَ مَعْنَى مُعْتَمِرٍ
Narrated to us [Musaddad], he said: narrated to us [Al Mu'tamir], he said: I heard [Manshur] narrate from [Sa'd bin Ubaidah], he said: narrated to me [Al Bara bin Azib], he said: 'The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me: When you go to your bed, perform ablution as you would for prayer. Then lie on your right side and recite: 'O Allah, my Lord, I surrender myself to You, entrust my affairs to You, and commit my body to You with fear (of rejection) and hope (of acceptance). There is no refuge or safety from You except with You. I believe in Your Book that You revealed and Your Prophet whom You sent.' He then said: 'If you die, you will die in a state of purity upon the natural disposition, and make this the last thing you say.' Al Bara said: 'I said: "I asked him to repeat the supplication in full." I said: "And with Your Messenger whom You sent." He said: "No, (say) 'And with Your Prophet whom You sent.'"' Narrated to us [Musaddad], he said: narrated to us [Yahya] from [Fithr bin Khalifah], he said: I heard [Sa'd bin Ubaidah], he said: I heard [Al Bara bin Azib], he said: 'The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said to me: "When you go to your bed in a state of purity, make your right hand your pillow." Then he mentioned the same as the hadith.' Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Abdul Malik Al Ghazzal], he said: narrated to us [Muhammad bin Yusuf], he said: narrated to us [Sufyan] from [Al A'masy] and [Manshur] from [Sa'd bin Ubaidah] from [Al Bara], from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, with the same hadith. Sufyan said: 'One of them—either Al A'masy or Manshur—said: "When you go to your bed in a state of purity…" while the other said: "Perform ablution as you would for prayer…" then the hadith was narrated completely.'"
