حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ الْمَكِّيُّ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْعَدَنِيُّ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِعَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا صَلَاةَ لِمَنْ لَمْ يَقْرَأْ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِقَالَ وَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ وَعَائِشَةَ وَأَنَسٍ وَأَبِي قَتَادَةَ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ عُبَادَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَالْعَمَلُ عَلَيْهِ عِنْدَ أَكْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْهُمْ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَجَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَعِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ وَغَيْرُهُمْ قَالُوا لَا تُجْزِئُ صَلَاةٌ إِلَّا بِقِرَاءَةِ فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ و قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ كُلُّ صَلَاةٍ لَمْ يُقْرَأْ فِيهَا بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ فَهِيَ خِدَاجٌ غَيْرُ تَمَامٍ وَبِهِ يَقُولُ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ وَالشَّافِعِيُّ وَأَحْمَدُ وَإِسْحَقُ سَمِعْت ابْنَ أَبِي عُمَرَ يَقُولُ اخْتَلَفْتُ إِلَى ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ ثَمَانِيَةَ عَشَرَ سَنَةً وَكَانَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ أَكْبَرَ مِنِّي بِسَنَةٍ و سَمِعْت ابْنَ أَبِي عُمَرَ يَقُولُ حَجَجْتُ سَبْعِينَ حَجَّةً مَاشِيًا عَلَى قَدَمَيَّ

Narrated to us [Muhammad bin Yahya bin Abu Umar Al Makki Abu Abdullah Al 'Adani] and [Ali bin Hujr], both said: narrated to us [Sufyan bin Uyainah] from [Az Zuhri] from [Mahmud Ibnu Ar Rabi'] from [Ubadah bin Shamit] from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he said: "There is no prayer for one who does not recite Al Fatihah." He said: "In this chapter there are also narrations from Abu Hurairah, 'Aisyah, Anas, Abu Qatadah and Abdullah bin 'Amru." Abu Isa said: "The hadith of Ubadah bin Ash Shamit is hasan sahih. This hadith is acted upon by scholars from the companions of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Like Umar bin Al Khaththab, Imran bin Hushain and others. They say: 'Prayer is invalid without reciting Al Fatihah.' Ali bin Abi Thalib said: 'Every prayer without Al Fatihah recited in it is deficient and imperfect.' This opinion is held by bin Al Mubarak, Syafi'i, Ahmad and Ishaq. I heard Ibnu Abu Umar say: 'I differed with Ibnu Abu Umar by eighteen years, while Al Humaidi is one year older than me. I heard Ibnu Abu Umar say: 'I performed Hajj seven times on foot.'"
