Imam Bukhari : 4657حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍعَنْ قِرَاءَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ كَانَ يَمُدُّ مَدًّا
Narrated to us Muslim bin Ibrahim, narrated to us Jarir bin Hazim Al Azdi, narrated to us Qatadah, he said I asked Anas bin Malik about the recitation of the Prophet peace be upon him, and he said, "He would recite with elongation.
