Turunnya QS. Al 'Alaq: 6-19 setelah Abu jahal berniat menginjak leher Nabi saat shalat namun mundur ketakutan melihat parit api dan Malaikat bersayap
Imam Muslim : 5005حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الْقَيْسِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ حَدَّثَنِي نُعَيْمُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ هَلْ يُعَفِّرُ مُحَمَّدٌ وَجْهَهُ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِكُمْ قَالَ فَقِيلَ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ وَاللَّاتِ وَالْعُزَّى لَئِنْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ لَأَطَأَنَّ عَلَى رَقَبَتِهِ أَوْ لَأُعَفِّرَنَّ وَجْهَهُ فِي التُّرَابِ قَالَ فَأَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي زَعَمَ لِيَطَأَ عَلَى رَقَبَتِهِ قَالَ فَمَا فَجِئَهُمْ مِنْهُ إِلَّا وَهُوَ يَنْكُصُ عَلَى عَقِبَيْهِ وَيَتَّقِي بِيَدَيْهِ قَالَ فَقِيلَ لَهُ مَا لَكَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ لَخَنْدَقًا مِنْ نَارٍ وَهَوْلًا وَأَجْنِحَةً فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ دَنَا مِنِّي لَاخْتَطَفَتْهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عُضْوًا عُضْوًا قَالَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا نَدْرِي فِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَوْ شَيْءٌ بَلَغَهُ { كَلَّا إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ لَيَطْغَى أَنْ رَآهُ اسْتَغْنَى إِنَّ إِلَى رَبِّكَ الرُّجْعَى أَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي يَنْهَى عَبْدًا إِذَا صَلَّى أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَانَ عَلَى الْهُدَى أَوْ أَمَرَ بِالتَّقْوَى أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّى } يَعْنِي أَبَا جَهْلٍ { أَلَمْ يَعْلَمْ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ يَرَى كَلَّا لَئِنْ لَمْ يَنْتَهِ لَنَسْفَعًا بِالنَّاصِيَةِ نَاصِيَةٍ كَاذِبَةٍ خَاطِئَةٍ فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُ سَنَدْعُ الزَّبَانِيَةَ كَلَّا لَا تُطِعْهُ } زَادَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ وَأَمَرَهُ بِمَا أَمَرَهُ بِهِ وَزَادَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى { فَلْيَدْعُ نَادِيَهُ } يَعْنِي قَوْمَهُ
Narrated to us [Ubaidullah bin Mu'adz] and [Muhammad bin Abdula'la Al Qaisi], both said: Narrated to us [Al Mu'tamir] from [his father], narrated to me [Nu'aim bin Abu Hind] from [Abu Hazim] from [Abu Hurairah] who said: Abu Jahal said: Does Muhammad prostrate his face on the ground among you? Someone answered: Yes. He said: By Lata and Uzzah, if I see him doing that, I will step on his neck or bury his face in the dirt. Abu Hurairah said: He then approached the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was praying, intending to step on his neck. Nothing shocked them except that he (Abu Jahal) retreated, shielding himself with his hands. Someone asked him: What's wrong with you? He replied: Between me and him was a trench of fire, terror, and many wings. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: 'If he had come closer to me, the angels would have torn his limbs apart one by one.' Abu Hurairah said: Then Allah, Mighty and Exalted, revealed - we (Nu'aim) are unsure whether this verse was mentioned in Abu Hurairah's hadith or heard by Abu Hazim from the Messenger of Allah -: 'Indeed, man transgresses, because he sees himself as self-sufficient. Indeed, to your Lord is the return. What do you think of one who prevents a servant from praying? What if he is on the truth or commands piety? What if he denies and turns away?' meaning Abu Jahal. 'Does he not know that Allah sees all? If he does not stop, We will seize him by the forelock, a lying, sinful forelock. Let him call his assembly We will call the angels of Hell. No, do not obey him.' (Al-Alaq: 7-19). Abdullah added in his hadith: He said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded Abu Jahal with what was commanded to him. Ibn Abdula'la added: 'Let him call his assembly,' meaning his people.
