أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَثَلُ الْمُنَافِقِ كَمَثَلِ الشَّاةِ الْعَائِرَةِ بَيْنَ الْغَنَمَيْنِ تَعِيرُ فِي هَذِهِ مَرَّةً وَفِي هَذِهِ مَرَّةً لَا تَدْرِي أَيَّهَا تَتْبَعُ

Narrated to us [Qutaibah], he said : has told us [Ya'qub] from [Musa bin 'Uqbah] from [Nafi'] from [Ibn Umar] that the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him said: "The example of a hypocrite is like a goat who is confused between two goats, sometimes he goes to this goat and sometimes he goes to this goat, he does not know which one he will follow."
