Imam Tirmidzi : 3323حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَنْ فِرَاشِهِ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ فَلْيَنْفُضْهُ بِصَنِفَةِ إِزَارِهِ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي مَا خَلَفَهُ عَلَيْهِ بَعْدُ فَإِذَا اضْطَجَعَ فَلْيَقُلْ بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ فَإِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ فَإِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ فَلْيَقُلْ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي عَافَانِي فِي جَسَدِي وَرَدَّ عَلَيَّ رُوحِي وَأَذِنَ لِي بِذِكْرِهِوَفِي الْبَاب عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَعَائِشَةَ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى حَدِيثُ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ وَرَوَى بَعْضُهُمْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ وَقَالَ فَلْيَنْفُضْهُ بِدَاخِلَةِ إِزَارِهِ
Narrated to us [Ibnu Abu Umar], narrated to us [Sufyan] from [Ibnu 'Ajlan] from [Sa'id Al Maqburi] from [Abu Hurairah radliallahu 'anhu] that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When one of you rises from his bed then returns to it then let him dust it with the edge of his garment three times because indeed he does not know what he left behind after rising. And when he lies down then let him say: BISMIKA RABBII WADHA'TU JANBII WA BIKA ARFA'UHU, FAIN AMSAKTA NAFSII FARHAMHAA, WA IN ARSALTAHAA FAHFAZHHAA BIMAA TAHFAZHU BIHI 'IBAADAKA ASH SHAALIHIIN. (In Your name my Lord, I place my side, and in Your name I raise it, so if You take my soul then have mercy upon it, and if You release it then protect it with what You protect Your righteous servants). Then when he wakes up then let him say: Al HAMDULILLAAHILLADZII 'AAFAANII FII JASADII WA RADDA 'ALAYYA RUUHII WA ADZINA LII BIDZIKRIHI. (Praise be to Allah who gave safety to my body and returned my soul to me and permitted me to remember Him). And in that chapter there are narrations from Jabir and Aisyah. Abu Isa said: the hadith of Abu Hurairah is hasan, and some scholars narrated this hadith, and said: then let him dust with the inside of his garment."
