Imam Tirmidzi : 3868حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنِي ثَوْرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الدِّيْلِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الْغَيْثِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَكُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أُنْزِلَتْ سُورَةُ الْجُمُعَةِ فَتَلَاهَا فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ{ وَآخَرِينَ مِنْهُمْ لَمَّا يَلْحَقُوا بِهِمْ }قَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِنَا فَلَمْ يُكَلِّمْهُ قَالَ وَسَلْمَانُ الْفَارِسِيُّ فِينَا قَالَ فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَهُ عَلَى سَلْمَانَ فَقَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَوْ كَانَ الْإِيمَانُ بِالثُّرَيَّا لَتَنَاوَلَهُ رِجَالٌ مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِقَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو الْغَيْثِ اسْمُهُ سَالِمٌ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُطِيعٍ مَدَنِيٌّ
Narrated to us [Ali bin Hujr], narrated to us [Abdullah bin Ja'far], narrated to me [Tsaur bin Zaid Ad Diili] from [Abu Al Ghaits] from [Abu Hurairah], he said: 'When we were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, during the revelation of Surah Al Jumu'ah, he recited it until he reached the verse: And to others among them who have not yet joined them (QS Al Jum'ah: 2). A man asked him: O Messenger of Allah, who are those who have not yet joined us?" He did not answer him. Abu Hurairah said: "At that time, Salman Al Farisi was among us." Abu Hurairah continued: Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, placed his hand on Salman and said: "If faith were in the Pleiades, it would be attained by them."' Abu Isa said: 'This hadith is a hasan hadith, and it has been narrated through several chains from Abu Hurairah from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. Abu Al Ghaits's real name is Salim, the freed slave of Abdullah bin Muthi' Al Madani.'"
