Tidak malukah kamu kepada orang yang para Malaikat pun malu kepadanya? (Keutamaan Sifat Pemalu Utsman bin Affan)
Imam Muslim : 4414حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى وَيَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ وَقُتَيْبَةُ وَابْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَخْبَرَنَا و قَالَ الْآخَرُونَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ يَعْنُونَ ابْنَ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي حَرْمَلَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ وَسُلَيْمَانَ ابْنَيْ يَسَارٍ وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُضْطَجِعًا فِي بَيْتِي كَاشِفًا عَنْ فَخِذَيْهِ أَوْ سَاقَيْهِ فَاسْتَأْذَنَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ وَهُوَ عَلَى تِلْكَ الْحَالِ فَتَحَدَّثَ ثُمَّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عُمَرُ فَأَذِنَ لَهُ وَهُوَ كَذَلِكَ فَتَحَدَّثَ ثُمَّ اسْتَأْذَنَ عُثْمَانُ فَجَلَسَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسَوَّى ثِيَابَهُ قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ وَلَا أَقُولُ ذَلِكَ فِي يَوْمٍ وَاحِدٍ فَدَخَلَ فَتَحَدَّثَ فَلَمَّا خَرَجَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ دَخَلَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَلَمْ تَهْتَشَّ لَهُ وَلَمْ تُبَالِهِ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عُمَرُ فَلَمْ تَهْتَشَّ لَهُ وَلَمْ تُبَالِهِ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عُثْمَانُ فَجَلَسْتَ وَسَوَّيْتَ ثِيَابَكَ فَقَالَ أَلَا أَسْتَحِي مِنْ رَجُلٍ تَسْتَحِي مِنْهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ
"Narrated to us [Yahya bin Yahya] and [Yahya bin Ayyub] and [Qutaibah] and [Ibnu Hujr]. [Yahya bin Yahya] said: Informed us, while others said: Narrated to us [Isma'il], that is Ibnu Ja'far, from [Muhammad bin Abu Harmalah] from ['Atha] and [Sulaiman]—both sons of Yasar—and [Abu Salamah bin 'Abdur Rahman] that ['Aisyah] said: 'Once, the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, was lying in my house with his thighs or shins uncovered. Abu Bakr asked permission to enter, and the Messenger allowed him in, remaining as he was, and they conversed. Then Umar bin Khattab came and asked permission to enter. The Messenger allowed him in, still in the same state, and they conversed. Later, Uthman bin Affan came and asked permission to enter. The Messenger allowed him in, but sat up and adjusted his clothing. Muhammad said: I do not say this happened on the same day. Uthman entered and spoke with him about various matters. After Uthman left, Aisyah asked: "O Messenger of Allah, when Abu Bakr entered, you did not hasten to receive him. When Umar entered, you greeted him casually. But when Uthman bin Affan entered, you sat up quickly and adjusted your clothing. What is the reason for this?" The Messenger, peace be upon him, replied: "O Aisyah, how could I not be shy before someone whom even the angels are shy of?"'
