Imam Ahmad : 141
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يُقَادُ وَالِدٌ مِنْ وَلَدٍ
Narrated to us [Abu Sa'id] Narrated to us [Abdullah Bin Lahi'ah] Narrated to us ['Amru Bin Syu'aib] from [his father] from [his grandfather] from [Umar], that the Prophet shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "A father is not held accountable for his son.
Hadith
Imam Ahmad : 142
وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرِثُ الْمَالَ مَنْ يَرِثُ الْوَلَاءَ
(Still from the same line of transmission from [Umar bin Khattab]). And the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "People who inherit property also inherit wala` (servants).

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا يُقَادُ لِوَلَدٍ مِنْ وَالِدِهِ
Narrated to us [Hasan] Narrated to us [Ibn Lahi'ah] Narrated to us ['Amru Bin Syu'aib] from [his father] from [Abdullah Bin 'Amru], he said; [Umar Bin Al Khaththab] said; "I heard the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say: "Children are not made qishash from their fathers.

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ شُرَحْبِيلَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ مَرَّةً مَرَّةً
Narrated to us [Hasan] Narrated to us [Ibnu Lahi'ah] Narrated to us [Adl Dlahhak Bin Syurahbil] from [Zaid Bin Aslam] from [his father] from [Umar Bin Al Khaththab] that he said; "I saw the Messenger of Allah performing ablution once.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي يَزِيدَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ فَضَالَةَ بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الشُّهَدَاءُ أَرْبَعَةٌ رَجُلٌ مُؤْمِنٌ جَيِّدُ الْإِيمَانِ لَقِيَ الْعَدُوَّ فَصَدَقَ اللَّهَ فَقُتِلَ فَذَلِكَ الَّذِي يَنْظُرُ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ هَكَذَا وَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ حَتَّى سَقَطَتْ قَلَنْسُوَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ قَلَنْسُوَةُ عُمَرَ وَالثَّانِي رَجُلٌ مُؤْمِنٌ لَقِيَ الْعَدُوَّ فَكَأَنَّمَا يُضْرَبُ ظَهْرُهُ بِشَوْكِ الطَّلْحِ جَاءَهُ سَهْمٌ غَرْبٌ فَقَتَلَهُ فَذَاكَ فِي الدَّرَجَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ وَالثَّالِثُ رَجُلٌ مُؤْمِنٌ خَلَطَ عَمَلًا صَالِحًا وَآخَرَ سَيِّئًا لَقِيَ الْعَدُوَّ فَصَدَقَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حَتَّى قُتِلَ قَالَ فَذَاكَ فِي الدَّرَجَةِ الثَّالِثَةِ وَالرَّابِعُ رَجُلٌ مُؤْمِنٌ أَسْرَفَ عَلَى نَفْسِهِ إِسْرَافًا كَثِيرًا لَقِيَ الْعَدُوَّ فَصَدَقَ اللَّهَ حَتَّى قُتِلَ فَذَاكَ فِي الدَّرَجَةِ الرَّابِعَةِ
Narrated to us [Yahya Bin Ishaq] Narrated to us [Ibn Lahi'ah] from ['Atho` Bin Dinar] from [Abu Yazid Al Khaulani] he said; I heard [Fadlalah Bin 'Ubaid] say; I heard [Umar Bin Al Khaththab] say; I heard Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say; "There were four martyrs; a man who was a believer who was good in his faith met an enemy and he was honest with Allah and was killed, that is the person that people saw like this," and the Messenger of Allah raised his head up until Rasulullah's headpiece fell or Umar's headpiece; "The second is a believing man who meets an enemy as if his back was hit with a tree thorn, he is pierced by a stray arrow and then he is killed, that is the person who is in the second level, and the third is a believing man who mixes his righteous deeds with his bad deeds then meets the enemy and he acts honestly towards Allah 'azza wajalla until he is killed," Rasulullah said: "That is the person who is in the third level, and the fourth is a believing man who has done a lot of wrongdoing towards himself then meets an enemy and acts honestly with Allah until he is killed, then that is the person who is in the fourth level.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلَانَ حَدَّثَنَا رِشْدِينُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْغَافِقِيُّ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ تَوَضَّأَ عَامَ تَبُوكَ وَاحِدَةً وَاحِدَةً
Narrated to us [Yahya Bin Ghailan] Narrated to us [Risydin Bin Sa'd] Has told me [Abu Abdullah Al Ghafiqi] from [Zaid Bin Aslam] from [his father] from [Umar Bin Al Khaththab] from the Messenger of Allah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam, that he performed ablution on the battle of Tabuk once.

حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ سَيَخْرُجُ أَهْلُ مَكَّةَ ثُمَّ لَا يَعْبُرُ بِهَا أَوْ لَا يَعْرِفُهَا إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ ثُمَّ تَمْتَلِئُ وَتُبْنَى ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنْهَا فَلَا يَعُودُونَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا
Narrated to us [Hasan] Narrated to us [Ibn Lahi'ah] Narrated to us [Abu Az Zubair] from [Jabir] that [Umar Bin Al Khaththab] reported to him, that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: "The people of Mecca will come out and then not pass by it or not know about it except only a few people, then it will be full and awakened then they will come out of it and will not return forever.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى رَجُلًا تَوَضَّأَ لِصَلَاةِ الظُّهْرِ فَتَرَكَ مَوْضِعَ ظُفُرٍ عَلَى ظَهْرِ قَدَمِهِ فَأَبْصَرَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ ارْجِعْ فَأَحْسِنْ وُضُوءَكَ فَرَجَعَ فَتَوَضَّأَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى
Narrated to us [Al Hasan] Narrated to us [Ibn Lahi'ah] Narrated to us [Abu Az Zubair] from [Jabir] that [Umar Bin Al Khaththab] has told him, that the Messenger of Allah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam saw a man performing ablution for the Dhuhr prayer, then left (did not wash) a part of his foot the size of a nail, then the Messenger of Allah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam saw him and said: "Repeat! And complete your ablution" then the man repeated his ablution and then prayed.

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ قَالَ زَعَمَ الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تُطْرُونِي كَمَا أَطْرَتْ النَّصَارَى عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولُهُ
Narrated to us [Husyaim] that he said; [Az Zuhri] has narrated from ['Ubaidillah Bin Abdullah Bin 'Utbah Bin Mas'ud] from [Ibn Abbas] from [Umar] that the Messenger of Allah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Do not worship me as the Christians worship Isa Bin Maryam, I am only a servant of Allah and His Messenger.

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُتَوَارٍ بِمَكَّةَ { وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا } قَالَ كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى بِأَصْحَابِهِ رَفَعَ صَوْتَهُ بِالْقُرْآنِ قَالَ فَلَمَّا سَمِعَ ذَلِكَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ سَبُّوا الْقُرْآنَ وَمَنْ أَنْزَلَهُ وَمَنْ جَاءَ بِهِ فَقَالَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِنَبِيِّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ { وَلَا تَجْهَرْ بِصَلَاتِكَ } أَيْ بِقِرَاءَتِكَ فَيَسْمَعَ الْمُشْرِكُونَ فَيَسُبُّوا الْقُرْآنَ { وَلَا تُخَافِتْ بِهَا } عَنْ أَصْحَابِكَ فَلَا تُسْمِعُهُمْ الْقُرْآنَ حَتَّى يَأْخُذُوهُ عَنْكَ { وَابْتَغِ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ سَبِيلًا }
Narrated to us [Husyaim] Narrated to us [Abu Bisyr] from [Sa'id Bin Jubair] From [Ibn Abbas] he said; This verse was revealed when the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam was hiding in Mecca; "And do not raise your voice in your prayer and do not lower it," (QS Al Isro' verse 110), Ibn Abbas said; Previously, when the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam prayed while leading his companions, he loudly recited the Qur'an, then when the polytheists heard the recitation, they cursed at the Qur'an, the One who sent it down and the Prophet who brought it, then Allah said to His Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam: "And do not raise your voice in your prayer." This means that your reading will be heard by the polytheists; "And do not despise it from your companions so that the Qur'an is not heard by them so that they take it from you, and do it between the two of them.

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَنْبَأَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ خَطَبَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَقَالَ هُشَيْمٌ مَرَّةً خَطَبَنَا فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ فَذَكَرَ الرَّجْمَ فَقَالَ لَا تُخْدَعُنَّ عَنْهُ فَإِنَّهُ حَدٌّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى أَلَا إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ رَجَمَ وَرَجَمْنَا بَعْدَهُ وَلَوْلَا أَنْ يَقُولَ قَائِلُونَ زَادَ عُمَرُ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ مَا لَيْسَ مِنْهُ لَكَتَبْتُهُ فِي نَاحِيَةٍ مِنْ الْمُصْحَفِ شَهِدَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَقَالَ هُشَيْمٌ مَرَّةً وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَوْفٍ وَفُلَانٌ وَفُلَانٌ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ رَجَمَ وَرَجَمْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِ أَلَا وَإِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ قَوْمٌ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِالرَّجْمِ وَبِالدَّجَّالِ وَبِالشَّفَاعَةِ وَبِعَذَابِ الْقَبْرِ وَبِقَوْمٍ يُخْرَجُونَ مِنْ النَّارِ بَعْدَمَا امْتَحَشُوا
Narrated to us [Husyaim] Narrated to us [Ali Bin Zaid] from [Yusuf Bin Mihran] from [Ibn Abbas] he said; [Umar preached], -Husyaim said; one time Umar preached to us - then praised and sanctified Allah Ta'ala then mentioned the law of stoning, and said; "Don't be fooled by it, because in fact it is one of the laws of Allah Ta'ala, know that Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam has implemented the law of stoning, so we also implemented the law of stoning after him. If (I'm not worried) people will say that Umar added to the Book of Allah what was not from it, I will definitely write it in the corner of the Mushaf, Umar Bin Khaththab has testified." On another occasion Husyaim said; [Abdurrahman Bin Auf], so and so, that the Messenger of Allah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam carried out the law of stoning and we carried out the law of stoning after the Messenger of Allah, know that there will be after you a people who deny the law of stoning, the existence of Dajjal, Syafa'at, the torment of the grave and the existence of a people who are brought out of the fire of hell after they have become charred.

حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ أَنْبَأَنَا حُمَيْدٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَافَقْتُ رَبِّي فِي ثَلَاثٍ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ اتَّخَذْنَا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى فَنَزَلَتْ { وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى } وَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ نِسَاءَكَ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْهِنَّ الْبَرُّ وَالْفَاجِرُ فَلَوْ أَمَرْتَهُنَّ أَنْ يَحْتَجِبْنَ فَنَزَلَتْ آيَةُ الْحِجَابِ وَاجْتَمَعَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِسَاؤُهُ فِي الْغَيْرَةِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُنَّ { عَسَى رَبُّهُ إِنْ طَلَّقَكُنَّ أَنْ يُبْدِلَهُ أَزْوَاجًا خَيْرًا مِنْكُنَّ } قَالَ فَنَزَلَتْ كَذَلِكَ
Narrated to us [Hushaim] Narrated to us [Humaid] from [Anas] he said; [Umar] said; I have obeyed my Rabb in three things; I said; "O Messenger of Allah, if we make Maqam Ibrahim a place of prayer," then the verse was revealed; "And make part of Ibrahim's maqam a place of prayer" (QS Al Baqarah: 125). I said; "O Messenger of Allah, indeed your wives will be visited by good and bad people, if you order them to wear the hijab." So the hijab verse came down. And finally the Rasulullah's wives were simultaneously jealous of him so I said to them; "If the Prophet divorces you, perhaps his Lord will replace him with a better wife than you," he said; "So a verse like that came down (QS At Tahrim: 5).

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ هِشَامَ بْنَ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ يَقْرَأُ سُورَةَ الْفُرْقَانِ فَقَرَأَ فِيهَا حُرُوفًا لَمْ يَكُنْ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَقْرَأَنِيهَا قَالَ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أُسَاوِرَهُ وَهُوَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قُلْتُ مَنْ أَقْرَأَكَ هَذِهِ الْقِرَاءَةَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُلْتُ كَذَبْتَ وَاللَّهِ مَا هَكَذَا أَقْرَأَكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخَذْتُ بِيَدِهِ أَقُودُهُ فَانْطَلَقْتُ بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّكَ أَقْرَأْتَنِي سُورَةَ الْفُرْقَانِ وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ هَذَا يَقْرَأُ فِيهَا حُرُوفًا لَمْ تَكُنْ أَقْرَأْتَنِيهَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اقْرَأْ يَا هِشَامُ فَقَرَأَ كَمَا كَانَ قَرَأَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَكَذَا أُنْزِلَتْ ثُمَّ قَالَ اقْرَأْ يَا عُمَرُ فَقَرَأْتُ فَقَالَ هَكَذَا أُنْزِلَتْ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ الْقُرْآنَ نَزَلَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَحْرُفٍ
Narrated to us [Abdul A'la Bin Abdul A'la] from [Ma'mar] from [Az Zuhri] from ['Urwah Bin Az Zubair] from [Al Miswar Bin Makhramah] that [Umar Bin Al Khaththab] said; I heard Hisyam Bin Hakim Bin Hizam reading Al Furqan, then he read a reading that was never read to him by Nabiyullah, so I wanted to pull his head while he was praying, so when he finished praying I asked; "Who reads to you like this?" He answered; "Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam." I said; "You are lying, by Allah, Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam did not read like this to you." Then I took him by the hand and I took him to Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam and I said to him; "O Messenger of Allah, you actually read to us the Al Furqon letter and I heard him read the Al Furqon letter with a reading that you did not read to us." So the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Read, O Hisham." So he read as he read, then the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Like this he was sent down." Then he said: "Read, O Umar." So I read, then he said: "Like this he was sent down." Then Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Indeed the Qur'an was revealed with seven letters.

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ قَالَ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَلْتَوِي مَا يَجِدُ مَا يَمْلَأُ بِهِ بَطْنَهُ مِنْ الدَّقَلِ
Narrated to us ['Amru Bin Al Haitsam] Narrated to us [Syu'bah] from [Simak Bin Harb] from [An Nu'man Bin Basyir] from [Umar] he said; I have seen the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam his stomach twisting because he did not find anything that could fill his stomach even dry dates.

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ وَافَقْتُ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ فِي ثَلَاثٍ أَوْ وَافَقَنِي رَبِّي فِي ثَلَاثٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ اتَّخَذْتَ الْمَقَامَ مُصَلًّى قَالَ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { وَاتَّخِذُوا مِنْ مَقَامِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مُصَلًّى } وَقُلْتُ لَوْ حَجَبْتَ عَنْ أُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَإِنَّهُ يَدْخُلُ عَلَيْكَ الْبَرُّ وَالْفَاجِرُ فَأُنْزِلَتْ آيَةُ الْحِجَابِ قَالَ وَبَلَغَنِي عَنْ أُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ شَيْءٌ فَاسْتَقْرَيْتُهُنَّ أَقُولُ لَهُنَّ لَتَكُفُّنَّ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَوْ لَيُبْدِلَنَّهُ اللَّهُ بِكُنَّ أَزْوَاجًا خَيْرًا مِنْكُنَّ مُسْلِمَاتٍ حَتَّى أَتَيْتُ عَلَى إِحْدَى أُمَّهَاتِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فَقَالَتْ يَا عُمَرُ أَمَا فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا يَعِظُ نِسَاءَهُ حَتَّى تَعِظَهُنَّ فَكَفَفْتُ فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { عَسَى رَبُّهُ إِنْ طَلَّقَكُنَّ أَنْ يُبْدِلَهُ أَزْوَاجًا خَيْرًا مِنْكُنَّ مُسْلِمَاتٍ مُؤْمِنَاتٍ قَانِتَاتٍ } الْآيَةَ
Narrated to us [Ibn Abu 'Adi] from [Humaid] from [Anas] he said; [Umar] said; I have obeyed my Rabb or my Rabb agreed with me in three things; I said; "O Messenger of Allah, if you make Maqam Ibrahim a place of prayer, then Allah revealed the verse; "And make part of Maqam Ibrahim a place of prayer", (QS Al Baqoroh verse 125). I said; "O Messenger of Allah, if you put the hijab on the Ummahatul believers (the wives of the Messenger of Allah), because some of the people who come to you are good and some are bad." Then the hijab verse was sent down. He says; "And finally news reached me from the Ummahatul Mukminin that the wives of the Messenger of Allah were simultaneously jealous of him, so I said to them: "Stop being jealous of the Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam, or Allah will really replace you with Muslim wives who are better than you." So I met one of the Ummahatul Mukminin, then he said: "O Umar, is there no advice from the Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam for his wives until you advise them?" So I stopped, then Allah revealed the verse: "If the Prophet divorced you, perhaps his Lord would replace him with a better wife than you who is obedient, who believes, who obeys, who repents." (QS At Tahrim verse 5).

حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ أَنَّ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ بِالْعَقِيقِ يَقُولُ أَتَانِي اللَّيْلَةَ آتٍ مِنْ رَبِّي فَقَالَ صَلِّ فِي هَذَا الْوَادِي الْمُبَارَكِ وَقُلْ عُمْرَةٌ فِي حَجَّةٍ قَالَ الْوَلِيدُ يَعْنِي ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ
Narrated to us [Al Walid Bin Muslim] Narrated to us [Al Auza'i] that [Yahya Bin Abi Kathir] has told him from [Ikrimah the slave of Ibn Abbas] he said; I heard [Ibn Abbas] say; I heard [Umar Bin Al Khaththab] say; I heard Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam say when he was in the valley of Aqiq: "Last night I was visited by someone who came from my Rabb and said; 'Pray in this blessed valley, and say; Umrah for Hajj'" Walid said; "That is Dzulhulaifah.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ سَمِعَ مَالِكَ بْنَ أَوْسِ بْنِ الْحَدَثَانِ سَمِعَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ الذَّهَبُ بِالْوَرِقِ رِبًا إِلَّا هَاءَ وَهَاءَ وَالْبُرُّ بِالْبُرِّ رِبًا إِلَّا هَاءَ وَهَاءَ وَالشَّعِيرُ بِالشَّعِيرِ رِبًا إِلَّا هَاءَ وَهَاءَ وَالتَّمْرُ بِالتَّمْرِ رِبًا إِلَّا هَاءَ وَهَاءَ
Narrated to us [Sufyan] from [Az Zuhri] he heard [Malik Bin Aus Bin Al Hadatsan] had heard [Umar Bin Al Khaththab] say; Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam said: -on another occasion Sufyan said; "Umar heard the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam say: - "Gold (exchanged) for silver is riba unless in cash, wheat (exchanged) for wheat is riba unless in cash, dates (exchanged) for dates is riba unless in cash.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ سَمِعَ أَبَا عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ الْعِيدَ مَعَ عُمَرَ فَبَدَأَ بِالصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ وَقَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْ صِيَامِ هَذَيْنِ الْيَوْمَيْنِ أَمَّا يَوْمُ الْفِطْرِ فَفِطْرُكُمْ مِنْ صَوْمِكُمْ وَأَمَّا يَوْمُ الْأَضْحَى فَكُلُوا مِنْ لَحْمِ نُسُكِكُمْ
Narrated to us [Sufyan] from [Az Zuhri] he heard [Abu Ubaid] say; I attended the 'Aid prayer with [Umar], then he started with the prayer before the sermon and said; "Indeed, Rasulullah shallallahu 'alaihi wasallam forbade fasting on these two days. As for the day of Aidul Fitr, it is the day you break your fast, as for the day of Aidul Adha, eat your sacrificial meat.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تُطْرُونِي كَمَا أَطْرَتْ النَّصَارَى عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا عَبْدٌ فَقُولُوا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ
Narrated to us [Sufyan] from [Az Zuhri] from [Ubaidullah Bin Abdullah Bin 'Utbah] from [Ibn Abbas] from [Umar] he said; Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said: "Do not worship me as the Christians worship Jesus, son of Mary, I am only a servant, so say to His servants and Messengers.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيَنَامُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ قَالَ يَتَوَضَّأُ وَيَنَامُ إِنْ شَاءَ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً لِيَتَوَضَّأْ وَلْيَنَمْ
Narrated to us [Sufyan] from [Abdullah Bin Dinar] from [Ibn Umar] from [Umar] that he asked the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam; "Can one of us sleep even though he is junub?" The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam answered: "Make ablution then sleep if he wishes." On another occasion Sufyan said; "To do ablution and then sleep.
